Indian Navy too Conduct Major Exercises in Karwar, Karnataka
The Indian Navy is set to hold meaningful military exercises in Karwar, Karnataka, from June 8 to June 11, 2025. In preparation for this event, a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) has been issued, prohibiting civilian aircraft from flying in the designated airspace during the exercises. The Navy will launch supersonic missiles from its destroyers, showcasing its advanced capabilities.
Karwar’s naval base, under the command of INS Kadamba, is one of the most secure locations in India, equipped with state-of-the-art weaponry. Its strategic geographical position is crucial, as it lies in close proximity to Karachi, Pakistan’s nearest port. The exercises will involve missile launches near the Pakistani maritime boundary, which begins just 700 kilometers from the base. This display of military strength underscores India’s commitment to maintaining security in the region, while also sending a clear message to neighboring countries.
