In a recent interview with Egypt’s ON Sports,Liverpool star Mohamed Salah expressed his desire to continue playing professional football until at least the age of 39 or 40. The 33-year-old forward, currently in excellent form, emphasized that he would step back if he ever felt unable to perform at his best. Salah’s notable track record includes 29 goals and 18 assists last season, contributing significantly to Liverpool’s trophy success and earning him recognition as the Premier League’s Player of the Year once again.
Salah draws inspiration from Cristiano Ronaldo, who continues to excel on the pitch despite his age.This motivation fuels Salah’s ambition to maintain his fitness and extend his career. He stated that he would only retire when he feels it’s time, but if asked, he would express a strong desire to play until he is 39 or 40. Recently, Salah signed a two-year extension with Liverpool, although interest from Saudi clubs remains. He acknowledged maintaining good relations with those clubs, keeping communication open while expressing his happiness at Liverpool. For now,he is committed to the Reds for the next two years,after which he will reassess his future.
