On June 8,Shubhanshu Shukla will embark on his inaugural space journey aboard SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. As the second Indian astronaut to venture into space, Shukla is poised to etch his name in history, following in the footsteps of Rakesh Sharma, who made his historic flight in 1984 aboard a Russian Soyuz spacecraft.
This mission marks the fourth commercial venture by Axiom space, a private American space infrastructure developer, aiming to establish a new era of space exploration. alongside Shukla, the crew will include mission pilot Slawek Użanowski-Wisniewski from poland and Tiber Kapu from Hungary, both of whom will be making their maiden journeys into space.
