Srijit Mukherji is embarking on a monumental cinematic venture that explores the life of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu across three distinct time periods. This ambitious project, titled “Lah Gauranga-er naam Re,” recently celebrated its auspicious beginning with a star-studded cast. The film’s narrative is structured around three timelines: the era of Sri Chaitanya, the story of bengali theater icon Nati Binodini’s spiritual journey, and a contemporary setting. The first segment will feature Divyajyoti dutta portraying Chaitanya, while the talented Subhashree Ganguly will take on the role of nati Binodini. Indraneil Sengupta will play a modern-day superstar embodying Chaitanya’s essence.
