Kolkata’s temperatures have already dipped significantly, signaling a shift in weather patterns that residents should prepare for.
The forecast indicates that Saturday will see continued rain and strong winds in Kolkata and surrounding areas. Authorities have issued alerts for scattered showers and wind speeds reaching 30 to 40 kilometers per hour, with some districts like Medinipur, Jhargram, Purulia, Bankura, Bardhaman, and Birbhum potentially experiencing gusts of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. Over the next five days, no significant temperature changes are anticipated in South Bengal, and the northern regions, including Darjeeling and Kalimpong, are also expected to witness thunderstorms and rain, keeping residents on high alert.
