In a harrowing escalation of violence, Russia’s drone and missile attacks across Ukraine have claimed the lives of at least 12 individuals, with many more injured. Among the casualties are three children in the western city of Zhytomyr and a 70-year-old man in the southern city of Mykolaiv, as reported by the state emergency services. The attacks have left a trail of destruction, affecting numerous regions and raising alarms about the ongoing conflict’s toll on civilians.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that from 8:40 PM on Saturday, they successfully intercepted 45 cruise missiles and destroyed 266 drones. despite these efforts, the nighttime assault impacted a wide swath of the country, with 22 locations suffering direct hits and drones and missiles landing in 15 areas. In the Kyiv region alone, four people lost their lives, including three children, while 16 others sustained injuries. The destruction of homes and infrastructure has left communities grappling with the aftermath,underscoring the urgent need for international attention and support as the conflict continues to unfold.
