Teachers Set Deadline for State Government Amid Ongoing protests
In a persistent stand for their rights, unemployed teachers in west Bengal have issued a deadline to the state government, demanding a meeting with Education Minister Bratya Basu by Monday. If their demands are not met, they have warned of escalating their protests. the teachers, who have been without jobs for an extended period, are also reaching out to all MPs in the state, urging them to raise their concerns in the upcoming parliamentary session.
The protesters have made it clear that they will not vacate their position outside the Bikash Bhavan until the administration provides necessary facilities, including shelters, bio-toilets, and drinking water, as mandated by the High Court.They have proposed relocating their protest to Central Park, contingent upon the fulfillment of these conditions. The teachers have also identified a new site near the book fair grounds for their ongoing demonstrations,showcasing their resolve to continue fighting for their rights until they receive a satisfactory response from the government.
