In a startling turn of events, Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh has rushed to file a complaint at teh Cyber Crime Police Station, following a series of obscene adn derogatory posts linked to a woman named Swarnali Majumdar. These posts, allegedly originating from an X handle, have targeted Ghosh and several other BJP leaders, raising serious concerns about online harassment and political smear campaigns.
According to Ghosh, the woman in question has claimed to be a resident of Bengaluru and has falsely identified herself as a member of the NITI Aayog and the BJP’s IT cell. The situation escalated when a woman from Siliguri was arrested in Mumbai on charges related to human trafficking, leading Ghosh to assert that his name is being maliciously associated with her. He also highlighted that not only he but also BJP’s Siliguri vice president, Dipankar Manik Aroa, has been subjected to similar derogatory remarks. ghosh alleges that this woman had created a group of BJP legislators under the guise of Swarnali, falsely presenting herself as the head of the IT cell.
