On Sunday morning, Shivam was swimming in rabindra Sarobar when he reportedly got trapped by submerged tree roots, preventing him from surfacing.Eyewitnesses claim that he disappeared shortly after entering the water, and despite efforts to rescue him, he was pronounced dead upon arrival at M.R. Bangur Hospital. Local residents expressed their anger towards the authorities, citing a lack of proper maintenance as a contributing factor to this tragic incident.Simultaneously occurring, in Howrah, Abhijit drowned after jumping into a pond near Dumurjola Stadium, where he had been playing football with friends. He too was quickly submerged, and despite police intervention to retrieve him, he was declared dead at the hospital.
