In a bold move during the recent tensions with Pakistan, India reportedly targeted a pakistani airbase using BrahMos missiles, as claimed by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. This operation,dubbed “Operation Sindoor,” involved the launch of approximately 15 BrahMos missiles aimed at the airbase,catching Pakistan off guard. Sharif, speaking in Azerbaijan, noted that the attack was intended to coincide with the early morning prayers of the Pakistani military, but the strikes began the night before.

Sharif revealed that he was first informed about the missile assault by Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Asim Munir.
