Compilation of Mamata Banerjee’s Assembly Speeches Set for Publication
A notable compilation of speeches delivered by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in the Assembly is in the works, with a draft already prepared. Once approved by the Chief Minister, this collection will be published as a book, serving as a valuable resource for future generations and researchers. Covering her tenure from 2011 to 2025, the compilation captures the essence of her speeches during pivotal moments of political change in the state.
Deputy Speaker ashis Banerjee emphasized the importance of this collection, noting that Mamata Banerjee, as Bengal’s first female Chief Minister, has inspired not only the current generation but also those to come. The speeches provide deep insights into contemporary political scenarios, societal conditions, and the evolving political ideologies in West Bengal. Previously, only the speeches of former Chief Minister Bidhan Chandra Roy were compiled, making this a historic addition to the state’s political literature. The compilation, initiated by the Assembly’s library committee, will soon be sent to the Chief Minister for her approval, paving the way for its publication.
