Seeking a Third Option: Political Leaders Unite Against Central policies
In a significant gathering at the Maulali Youth Center, prominent political figures including mohammad Salim, Shubankar Sarkar, Nausad Siddiqui, and Dipankar bhattacharya came together to discuss the pressing need for a third political alternative in west Bengal. The event, titled “Save the Nation, Save the Constitution,” attracted a packed audience, highlighting the urgency of addressing the current political landscape dominated by the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
During the discussions,speakers voiced their concerns regarding various policies of the NDA government led by the BJP,especially focusing on issues of communal division and the controversial Waqf Bill. They also raised questions about the recent ceasefire with Pakistan, emphasizing the need for accountability. Many participants echoed the sentiment that a robust third force is essential to counterbalance the TMC and BJP’s influence in the state.Congress leader kanhaiya Kumar notably challenged Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the issue of illegal immigration from Bangladesh, further intensifying the debate on national security and governance.
