Heatwave Hits South Bengal: Temperature Set to rise Amidst Humidity
As the monsoon remains elusive, South Bengal is bracing for a significant rise in temperatures, with forecasts indicating an increase of up to 4 degrees Celsius over the next four days.The Alipore Meteorological Department has warned that the discomfort from humidity will accompany this heat surge, starting from Saturday, particularly affecting Kolkata and surrounding districts.
While some areas in South Bengal were expected to experience thunderstorms on Saturday, no warnings are in place for Sunday.The weather is predicted to remain dry on both Sunday and Monday, but light, scattered rain may return on Tuesday. In contrast, five districts in North Bengal could see sporadic rainfall. temperatures across both North and South Bengal are expected to gradually rise by 2 to 4 degrees in the coming days, intensifying the summer heat and raising concerns about heat-related health issues.
