The Air India AI 180 flight landed in Kolkata just before 1 AM on Monday, arriving on schedule. Though, the planned departure for Mumbai at 2 AM was delayed significantly. As the hours passed without any updates, passengers were finally informed at around 5:20 AM that they would need to disembark for safety reasons, as announced by the flight’s pilot. Following the disembarkation, the Boeing 777-200 LR was moved to a designated area at the airport, where Air India staff are now investigating the engine malfunction. this incident adds to the airline’s recent challenges, raising questions about operational reliability and passenger safety.
