Violence Erupts in Murshidabad Over Crop Harvesting Dispute
On Thursday morning, tensions flared in Murshidabad’s Naoda as a young man was shot amid a dispute over crop harvesting. The altercation reportedly escalated between two factions, leading to the shooting of Aziz Mandal. In a desperate attempt to save him, his uncle, azizul Mandal, and another individual were attacked with a sickle. All three were rushed to Murshidabad Medical College hospital in critical condition.
Local sources indicate that the conflict stems from an ongoing territorial dispute between two factions of the Trinamool Congress (TMC). The disagreement, which had been simmering for some time, reached a boiling point over the harvesting of crops. This incident not only highlights the volatile political landscape in the region but also raises concerns about safety and community relations in West Bengal. As the situation unfolds, the community watches closely, hoping for a resolution that can restore peace and stability.
