In a significant move, teachers who have lost their jobs are preparing to approach Prime Minister Narendra Modi with their demands just as new recruitment notifications are set to be released this Friday. A delegation from Alipurduar has already met with Manoj Tiwari and local officials, expressing their desire to discuss the employment crisis directly with the Prime Minister.
The urgency of their plea stems from a Supreme Court ruling that has rendered existing job panels ineffective, leaving many qualified candidates without positions. One protester articulated the frustration felt by many, stating, “The Supreme Court’s directive has dismantled the panel, and deserving candidates have lost their jobs. we urge the Prime Minister to intervene and ensure that qualified individuals retain their opportunities.” In response to the Supreme Court’s order, the state government has announced that the recruitment process for teachers will commence on May 30, with online applications opening on June 15 and remaining open until July 14.The final panel is expected to be published on November 15, with counseling sessions starting on November 20.
