BRICS Parliamentary Forum Stands with India Against Terrorism Following Pahalgam Attack

This collective message comes from member nations, including China and Iran, during the 11th BRICS Parliamentary meeting held in Brasília, brazil. Participating in the forum were representatives from India, Brazil, Russia, China, South Africa, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Ethiopia, and Indonesia. The meeting, chaired by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, served as a platform to address pressing global issues, including the recent violence in Pahalgam. In a meaningful development, Om Birla was also elected as the president for the upcoming 12th BRICS Parliamentary Forum, set to take place in India in 2026. This election underscores India’s pivotal role in the BRICS alliance and its commitment to fostering international cooperation against terrorism.
