Shivakumar expressed deep sorrow over the incident, stating that the joy of victory in the state has been overshadowed by this tragedy. He emphasized the need for learning from such events to prevent future occurrences. While acknowledging that political opponents are using the tragedy for their own agendas, he urged them to reflect on their past actions regarding similar incidents.”It is unacceptable for such a thing to happen,” he said, visibly shaken. The state government has since ordered a magistrate-level inquiry into the incident, aiming to uncover the circumstances that led to this heartbreaking loss of life.
