Bangladesh’s Interim Government: No Resignation from Muhammad Yunus
in a recent growth, Muhammad Yunus, the chief advisor of Bangladesh’s interim government, has confirmed that he will not be resigning from his position.This declaration came from Wahiduddin Mahmud, the country’s planning advisor, following a closed-door meeting with the interim government’s advisors in Dhaka. The meeting aimed too discuss crucial reforms and preparations for upcoming elections, dispelling rumors of Yunus’s potential resignation.
During the meeting, which took place after the National Economic Council’s executive committee session, Mahmud reassured that Yunus and all other advisors would remain in their roles. He emphasized that no one is stepping down, and the advisors are committed to fulfilling their responsibilities. Meanwhile, environmental advisor Syeda Rizwana Hasan left the meeting early, mentioning discussions on necessary reforms for the elections but refraining from commenting on Yunus’s resignation. This comes after former advisor Nahid Islam hinted that Yunus was contemplating stepping down, a notion that has now been firmly dismissed.
