Celebrated for his unique approach to acting, Nawazuddin Siddiqui recently marked his 51st birthday, reflecting on a remarkable career that spans over 114 films and series. With more than 42 awards to his name, he has earned the title of a superstar in the Indian film industry. However, his path to fame was anything but smooth, rooted in humble beginnings in Budhana, Uttar Pradesh, where he was the eldest of eight siblings. His journey from a small town to Bollywood is a testament to resilience and determination.

Nawazuddin spent much of his childhood in Uttarakhand and graduated with a degree in Chemistry from Gurukula Kangri University in Haridwar. After a brief stint as a chemist in Vadodara,he moved to Delhi in search of better opportunities. despite coming from a zamindar family,he chose not to rely on his family’s wealth, taking on various jobs, including working as a security guard and even selling coriander leaves to make ends meet. His passion for acting led him to the National School of Drama, where he honed his craft, despite facing numerous rejections due to his unconventional looks. He made his bollywood debut in 1999 with a minor role in “Sarfarosh,” but it was his breakout performance in Anurag Kashyap’s “Gangs of Wasseypur” that catapulted him to fame, showcasing his extraordinary talent and solidifying his place in the industry.
