In a strategic move ahead of the crucial July 21 meeting, West Bengal’s Trinamool Congress (TMC) leaders Anubrata Mondal and Kajal Sheikh were summoned for a private discussion by senior party members Subrata Bakshi and Firhad Hakim. The meeting aimed to address recent public disputes between the two leaders, emphasizing the importance of unity as the party gears up for upcoming elections.
During the closed-door session, both leaders received stern warnings regarding their public comments, which have raised concerns within the party. The TMC leadership stressed the need for a cohesive approach, especially with elections on the horizon. They were advised to express any grievances directly to the leadership rather than airing them publicly, which coudl perhaps harm the party’s image. The message was clear: personal conflicts should not overshadow the party’s collective goals. Following the meeting, Sudip Bandopadhyay announced to the press that all disputes between Mondal and Sheikh had been resolved, signaling a renewed focus on party unity as they prepare for the challenges ahead.
