Celebrating Tradition: Jagannath Prasad Distribution Kicks off Across the State
This Tuesday marked the beginning of a cherished tradition in West Bengal as the distribution of Jagannath Prasad commenced. A significant shipment of 300 kilograms of pure khoya kheer has already arrived in Digha, setting the stage for a vibrant celebration. The community is buzzing wiht excitement as preparations unfold to share this sacred offering with devotees across the state.
The festivities kicked off with a colorful procession, where offerings of Rajbhog and Kheerbhog were presented to Lord Jagannath. Radha Raman Das, a member of the temple trust and Vice President of ISKCON Kolkata, shared that local Block Development Officers and other officials are actively involved in collecting the khoya kheer for distribution. Each locality will see this divine delicacy transformed into various sweets like gaja and penda,crafted by local sweet shops. Once prepared, thes treats will be sealed and dispatched to every corner of the state, ensuring that the spirit of Jagannath reaches all. This initiative not only strengthens community bonds but also revives the age-old tradition of sharing blessings, making it a truly joyous occasion for everyone involved.
