A devastating fire erupted on teh Kolkata-Kharagpur National highway, consuming a container truck loaded with eight brand-new vehicles. The incident, which took place in the Krishnanagar parking area of the Pingla constituency in West Medinipur, has left local authorities puzzled as the cause of the fire remains unknown. Firefighters battled the flames for nearly two hours, while police officials were also present to manage the situation and mitigate traffic disruptions.
As the fire raged, it not only destroyed the container but also reduced the gleaming new cars inside to ashes. The blaze caused meaningful traffic delays, with vehicles unable to pass for a considerable time. Preliminary investigations by the fire department suggest that a short circuit may have ignited the fire, possibly due to the presence of electric vehicles in the container. once the container was removed, traffic resumed its normal flow, but the incident serves as a stark reminder of the potential hazards on our roads.
