COVID-19 Claims Third Life in West Bengal Amid Rising Cases
In a concerning advancement, West Bengal has reported its third death linked to COVID-19. A 74-year-old man was admitted to a private hospital in Alipur on Monday,suffering from a lung infection.Despite receiving thorough support, he passed away on Tuesday afternoon. His death certificate confirmed COVID-19 as a contributing factor. This follows the recent fatalities of a resident from Madhab Das Lane and a 43-year-old woman, both of whom were hospitalized due to the virus.
As of now, the state has recorded a total of 747 COVID-19 cases, according to the latest reports. During a press conference at Nabanna, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee reassured the public that there is no need for panic regarding the situation. However, she emphasized that the state government is fully prepared to handle any developments. The rising number of cases has sparked concern, but officials are committed to ensuring public safety and health.
