The tragedy unfolded early Thursday morning when Das, riding his bicycle, encountered a downed 11,000-volt power line that had fallen across the road. As Das attempted to navigate his way to the fields, the wire became entangled in his bicycle, resulting in a severe electric shock that affected his right hand, knee, and wrist. Tragically, no one was around to assist him during this critical moment. it was only later that local residents discovered the scene and promptly contacted the electricity department to cut off the power supply. Authorities arrived to recover Das’s body, which has since been sent for autopsy.
