Delhi Faces Scorching heatwave: Temperatures Soar to 45°C
As Delhi grapples with an intense heatwave, residents are bracing for temperatures that could reach a staggering 45 degrees Celsius over the next few days. the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert, warning citizens to take necessary precautions against the sweltering conditions. With high humidity levels compounding the discomfort,the capital is set to endure a challenging weather pattern.
The IMD forecasts that temperatures in Delhi will fluctuate between 43 to 45 degrees Celsius during the day, while nighttime lows will hover around 26 to 29 degrees Celsius. Adding to the discomfort, dust storms are expected in the afternoons, creating a hazy atmosphere. However, relief may be on the horizon, as light to moderate rainfall is predicted starting June 12, perhaps bringing some respite from the relentless heat.An orange alert has also been issued, indicating the severity of the situation and urging residents to stay hydrated and avoid outdoor activities during peak hours.
