In a shocking turn of events, the quiet town of Hariharpara in murshidabad has been rocked by violence stemming from a land dispute, leaving one Trinamool Congress (TMC) worker critically injured. The incident unfolded on Monday night, escalating tensions between rival factions within the party. Amidst a backdrop of bomb blasts and gunfire, police swiftly intervened, arresting four individuals linked to the chaos.
The conflict has been brewing for days, fueled by ongoing disputes between two factions of the TMC. On Monday night, the situation reached a boiling point in Nazirpur, were gunfire erupted targeting Nazimuddin Sheikh, also known as Kalu. Reports indicate that he sustained a gunshot wound to the leg,prompting immediate medical attention.Initially treated at the local primary health center, Kalu’s condition deteriorated, necessitating his transfer first to Murshidabad Medical College and then to a facility in Kolkata for advanced care.
In response to the violence, police have arrested Kalu Sheikh, Ripon Sheikh, Monohar Shah, and Nazrul Sheikh, all believed to be involved in the incident.
