In a significant advancement in teh ongoing battle against Maoist insurgency, security forces in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district have eliminated another prominent Naxal leader. This operation, which took place in a national park area on Thursday, was prompted by intelligence reports indicating the presence of senior Maoist cadres. The encounter not only highlights the persistent threat posed by Naxalites but also underscores the relentless efforts of security forces to restore peace in the region.Acting on the intelligence, a joint team comprising the district Reserve Guard and the Special Task Force launched a coordinated operation in the dense forests. Gunfire erupted early in the morning as the forces engaged with the Naxals.during this encounter, Sudhakar, a member of the Central Committee and one of the most wanted Maoist leaders, was shot dead. With a bounty of ₹50 lakh on his head, Sudhakar’s death marks a crucial victory for the security forces. His demise comes shortly after the death of another notorious Naxal, Nambala Keshav Rao, also known as basavaraju, who was killed in a similar clash earlier in May. This series of operations reflects the ongoing struggle between state forces and Maoist insurgents, raising questions about the future of peace and security in the region.
