In a heart-wrenching incident in Faridabad, a father, Manoj Mahato, took the lives of himself and his four sons by jumping onto the train tracks, driven by deep-seated suspicions about his wife. The tragedy unfolded as a train approached, claiming five lives in an instant. Manoj,originally from bihar,had been living in Faridabad with his family,but ongoing marital discord with his wife,Priya Mahato,had taken a toll on his mental health.
Witnesses report that despite seeing the oncoming train, Manoj did not hesitate.On Tuesday morning, after yet another argument with Priya, he told his children they were going to the park. Rather,he led them to the tracks. Following the incident, railway police recovered the bodies. A note found in manoj’s pocket, which contained his wife’s phone number, suggests that his overwhelming distrust may have contributed to his tragic decision, highlighting the urgent need for mental health awareness and support in such distressing situations.
