Tragic Revelation: Woman Found Dead in New Town,Kolkata
A shocking incident has unfolded in the Nasirpur area of New Town,where the lifeless body of a 31-year-old woman,Sumana Sahu,was discovered in her home. The police reported that her throat had been cut, raising serious concerns about the circumstances surrounding her death. Living with her elderly father-in-law, husband, and child, Sumana’s absence was noted when a neighbor attempted to check on her and received no response.
Upon entering the home, the neighbor found Sumana’s body on the bed, prompting immediate action. Local residents alerted the Eco Park police station, who swiftly arrived at the scene to recover the body and send it for an autopsy. Investigators are now searching for a relative who had been visiting, as they believe this could provide crucial insights into the case. The Bidhannagar Commissionerate has stated that the cause of death will be clarified once the investigation progresses, leaving the community in shock and mourning.
