In a significant growth, the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism squad (ATS) has apprehended a suspected Pakistani spy named Sahadev Singh Gohil from the sensitive Kutch border area. gohil, a resident of Gujarat and an employee at a government health center, is accused of leaking sensitive information to Pakistan’s intelligence agency, the ISI. This arrest highlights ongoing concerns about espionage activities in the region, raising questions about national security and the integrity of sensitive information.
According to ATS officials,Gohil was sharing critical data related to the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Indian Air Force (IAF) with Pakistani operatives. He was brought to Ahmedabad for questioning, where it was revealed that he had been in contact with a woman named Aditi Bhardwaj via WhatsApp during june-July 2023. Unbeknownst to him, Bhardwaj was actually a Pakistani spy, further complicating the web of espionage that seems to be tightening around the region. The ATS is now delving deeper into Gohil’s connections and the extent of the information he may have compromised, underscoring the persistent threat posed by foreign intelligence agencies in India.
