In a significant growth in the ongoing battle against militancy in Jammu and Kashmir, security forces have successfully neutralized two militants in the Singpora area of Kishtwar district. This operation, dubbed “Operation Trasi,” comes on the heels of a series of successful missions aimed at dismantling terrorist networks in the region. Over the past two weeks, the Indian Army has reportedly eliminated eight militants in the Kashmir Valley, underscoring a robust commitment to a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism.
The operation commenced early in the morning, around 7 AM, involving a coordinated effort by the Para Special Forces, the 11 Rashtriya Rifles, Assam rifles, and the Special Operations Group (SOG). intelligence reports indicated the presence of a group of three to four militants hiding in the area, prompting security forces to cordon off the region. As the forces moved in, the militants opened fire, resulting in the swift elimination of two of them. While this operation marks a significant victory, reports suggest that the search for remaining militants is ongoing, reflecting the persistent challenges faced by security forces in the region.
