Scattered Showers Expected in Kolkata and Across West Bengal, But Heat to Intensify Soon
As the weather in west Bengal continues to fluctuate, the Alipore Meteorological Department has forecasted scattered showers for Kolkata and all districts on Friday. However, this brief respite from the heat may not last long, as temperatures are expected to rise significantly in the coming days. With no signs of monsoon rains in South Bengal for the next week, residents may find themselves grappling with increasing humidity and discomfort.
On Friday, light rain is anticipated across all southern districts, providing a temporary relief from the sweltering heat. Though, the forecast suggests that temperatures could soar by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius over the next four days. Simultaneously occurring, the northern regions of Bengal are also set to experience rain, with thunderstorms predicted until Wednesday. This weather pattern highlights the unpredictable nature of the monsoon season, leaving many to wonder when the much-needed rains will finally arrive to alleviate the heat and humidity gripping the region.
