Microsoft Introduces AI-Powered Writing Features in Notepad
In a significant update, microsoft is rolling out experimental AI writing capabilities in it’s Notepad application for Windows 11 insiders. This new feature, part of a broader enhancement that includes Paint and Snipping Tool, aims to streamline the writing process by allowing users to generate text from scratch using generative AI. With this innovation, users can quickly draft content based on thier prompts, making writing more efficient and accessible.
The AI feature in Notepad enables users to right-click anywhere in their document and select the “Write” option to generate text. After typing their instructions, users can choose to keep or discard the AI-generated content, providing a seamless writing experience.To utilize this feature, users will need a Microsoft account and AI credits. Additionally, Microsoft has introduced two new AI-driven features in Paint: AI-based stickers for automatic sticker creation and a smart selection tool for easy image editing.
