BNP Demands Election Roadmap and Restructuring of Advisory Council in Talks with Chief Advisor Yunus
In a notable political development, bangladesh’s main opposition party, the BNP, has called for a clear election roadmap by December and the restructuring of the advisory council, excluding controversial advisors. This demand was articulated following a meeting with Chief Advisor Mohammad Yunus, amidst rising political tensions surrounding the upcoming elections.
The meeting,held at the state guesthouse jamuna,lasted approximately 50 minutes and was led by BNP’s standing committee member Khandakar Mosharraf hossain. Abdul Moin Khan,another senior member,emphasized the urgency of establishing a transparent electoral process,especially in light of the ongoing political instability fueled by differing opinions among parties regarding the election. The BNP’s representatives expressed their concerns over Yunus’s potential resignation, which has added to the uncertainty.
