This new tool will automatically pause video calls if nudity is detected, effectively freezing both audio and video. when nudity is detected, a warning message will appear on the screen, indicating that sensitive content may be displayed, prompting users to disconnect if they feel uncomfortable. Users can choose to resume the call, but the feature operates autonomously, monitoring the visual feed. Initially discussed at Apple’s WWDC 2025, it was thought to be limited to family sharing accounts, but the beta version shows it is active for all types of accounts. Previously, Apple announced that sensitive images in the Photos app would be automatically blurred, and this new FaceTime sensor aligns with their ongoing efforts to protect user privacy. Though, it remains uncertain whether this feature will be included in the final release for all users.
